Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange, (BSE), on January 02, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Compliance with SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013 for Stock Brokers providing Investment Advice to Clients.

Trading Members are reminded of Regulation 4(g) of the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, which exempts stock brokers registered under SEBI (Stock Broker) Regulations, 1992, from requiring separate registration as Investment Advisers when providing investment advice incidental to their primary activities. However, such stock brokers must adhere to the general obligations and responsibilities outlined in Chapter III of the IA Regulations. Members are advised to ensure strict compliance with these provisions.
