Industry Specific ComplianceThe Reserve Bank of India (RBI), on January 01, 2025, issued an average Cash Reserve Ratio (CRR) required to be maintained by every bank.

Effective December 14, 2024: Banks must maintain an average CRR of 4.25% of their net demand and time liabilities.

Effective December 28, 2024: The CRR requirement will be reduced to 4.00%.

This notification partially modifies the earlier directive (DOR.RET.REC.34/12.01.001/2022-23 dated May 04, 2022). Banks must ensure compliance with these revised CRR requirements from the specified dates.
