The Government of Puducherry on November 11, 2024, notified regarding the revision of wages to full-time casual labourers working in the local bodies.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the government has approved wage revisions for full-time casual laborers, including sanitary workers and tank operators in municipalities, commune panchayats, and village panchayats, effective July 1, 2024.
• It further states that the casual labourers granted "Temporary Status" are excluded, as separate wage instructions apply to them.
