The University Grants Commission (UGC), on January 03, 2025, issued a notification regarding the new regulations for the maintenance of the standards of higher education in the country.
These evaluations will influence the privileges and entitlements granted to HEIs under various UGC Regulations, in addition to existing criteria like NAAC accreditation scores.
A two-step evaluation system has been developed, featuring specific parameters to assess the adoption and execution of NEP 2020 initiatives by HEIs. Stakeholders and the public are invited to provide suggestions or feedback on the draft document detailing the evaluation process.
Feedback can be submitted via a Google form available on the website within 30 days from the publication date of this notice. The initiative aims to ensure the effective implementation of NEP 2020 and promote excellence in higher education across the country.
