The Department of Transport, Himachal Pradesh on January 01, 2025, issued the notification regarding the extension of the period of onetime waiver of Motor Vehicle Tax (Token/Road tax, Special Road Tax), associated interest and penalties for old vehicles that will be scrapped at Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF).
The following has been stated namely: -
• The period of onetime waiver has been extended for the Motor Vehicle Tax (Token/Road tax, Special Road Tax), as well as a one-time waiver of associated interest and penalties for old vehicles that will be scrapped at Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF), as opted by vehicle owners to encourage them to scrap their old vehicles.
This notification shall be valid upto March 31, 2026.
