The Tamil Nadu Government on January 04, 2025, issued a holiday on January 17, 2025 for all Government Offices, Public Sector Undertakings, Schools, Colleges and all Educational Institutions across Tamil Nadu on the occasion of Pongal Festival.
The following has been stated namely: -
• This year Thai Pongal festival is celebrated in Tamil Nadu on January 14, 2025.
• Since, January 15, 16, 18, and 19, 2025 are government holidays, now January 17, 2025 is declared as a holiday to allow people to visit their hometowns
• In lieu of this Saturday, January 25, 2025, shall be working.
