The Pollution Control Board, Assam (PCBA) on December 19, 2024, issued the notification regarding the clarification on installation of Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
The following has been stated namely: -
• Non-bedded healthcare facilities (HCF) shall not necessarily need to install Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP).
• However, they must dispose infectious liquid wastes only after treatment by disinfection.
• All the non-bedded HCFs including Dental Clinics need to obtain CTE/CTO and Authorisation for establishment and operation of such facilities.
