The Protection of Plant Varieties & Farmers' Rights Authority (PPV&FRA) on January 01, 2025, issued a notification regarding the approval of DUS Test Fees for New and Extant Crop Varieties.
The following has been stated: -
•The PPVFR Authority, in its 39th meeting on December 03, 2024, approved the DUS test fees for new crop varieties.
•For Mesta (Hibiscus cannabinus L. and Hibiscus sabdariffa L.), the fee is Rs. 30,000, and for Hibiscus/China rose (Hibiscus L.), the fee is Rs. 20,000.
•The on-site fee for new varieties is Rs. 20,000. The DUS test fees for extant varieties will be 50% of the fees for new varieties.
