The Protection of Plant Varieties & Farmers' Rights Authority (PPV&FRA) on January 01, 2025, notified regarding the allotment of REG Number, date of filing, and dispensing of PVP Number.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that effective from January 1, 2025, the PPVFR Authority has revised the process for allotting unique REG numbers to registration applications, replacing PVP numbers.
• The REG number will be issued on the date all three requirements—complete application form, registration fee, and seeds for DUS testing—are received.
• This policy supersedes prior notices and applies to all applications filed on or after January 1, 2025.
