The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on January 07, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Upgradation of RuPay (International) back-office system from IRGCS system to IRGCS 2.0.
To enhance efficiency in operational activities for RuPay (International) members. The upgraded system will offer the following benefits:
24/7 File Staging: Continuous file upload capability, unlike the current system with cut-off times.
Enhanced Security: Introduction of a Bank Admin Checker user for improved security.
Faster Report Generation: Quicker access to settlement reports, raw data, and all related files.
No changes are required at the network or bank ends, ensuring a seamless transition without impacting reconciliation processes. NPCI will provide training and demos on the test system before the system goes live. Guidelines and the launch date will be announced soon. Member banks are advised to inform all relevant stakeholders.
