Secretarial ComplianceThe Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on January 10, 2025, issued a notification regarding the enhancement of operational efficiency and Risk Reduction - Pay-out of securities directly to client demat account.

The following has been stated: -

•SEBI has implemented measures for the pay-out of securities directly to client demat accounts, starting with Depository Receipt (DR) clients in the first phase. In this phase, securities will continue to be transferred to clearing members' pool accounts. 

•From January 11, 2025, the combined "FDI/DR" category will be segregated in the UCC database, and this category will no longer be available. 

•Trading members must update the UCC database for existing clients accordingly. A revised batch upload file format is provided in the Annexure.
