The Kerala State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) on January 05, 2025, notified regarding the categorization of industries into Red/Orange/Green and White categories based on pollution potential which are not included in the categorization list and revision of category for gate and grill manufacturing units.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the consent applications will follow the categorization: Gamma Sterilisation Units as White; small automobile workshops (≤10 HP, no washing/painting) as Green, with others categorized under Orange.
• It further states that engineering and fabrication units, including gate and grill manufacturing (≤7.5 HP, no painting), are reclassified under the White category, while those >7.5 HP remain under the Green category.
