The Government of Karnataka on January 02, 2025, issued a notification regarding the criteria for recognition of First Aid Training Institutes in the State.
The following has been stated: -
•The Government of Karnataka has outlined criteria for recognizing First Aid Training Institutes under the Factories Act, of 1948. Institutes must be registered legally, have qualified trainers with relevant medical qualifications and experience, and provide necessary facilities and equipment.
•Training programs must last at least three days, with a certificate valid for three years. Fees are capped at Rs. 1000 per candidate in the institute and Rs. 1200 on the factory premises.
•Institutes must renew their registration every two years with a non-refundable fee.
