The Multi Commodity Exchange Clearing Corporation Limited (MCXCCL) on January 14, 2025, issued a circular regarding acceptable BIS standards for Aluminium under the Quality Control Order, 2023.
The following has been stated: -
•Clearing Members of MCXCCL are notified to comply with the Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for Aluminium effective December 01, 2024. Depositors must ensure Aluminium goods meet BIS standards, with a minimum purity of 99.70%.
•Goods should be in specified shapes (e.g., sows, T-bars) and from approved brands.
•Warehouse Service Providers will verify compliance upon deposit at accredited warehouses.
