The Government of Telangana on January 11, 2025, notified the Telangana Clean and Green Energy Policy- 2025.
The following has been stated-
This policy has been developed to meet and ensure energy security for Telangana and provide reliable and affordable power.
Ensure the self-sufficiency and sustainability of Telangana Power Utilities and Promote the development of solar, wind, and other RE projects in the state.
Promote the development of energy storage systems and the production of green hydrogen and its derivatives.
Enhance the state's manufacturing ecosystem Boost investments and increase job potential in the state.
This policy will come into operation from the date of issuance and will remain applicable for a period of ten (10) years, from the date of issuance of the policy or till such time a new policy is issued.
All projects that are allocated by the Nodal agency during the policy operative period and commissioned as per the timelines specified in this policy/bid document / Power Purchase Agreement (PPA), will be eligible for incentives declared under this policy.
