The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) on January 14, 2025, notified regarding the operational guidelines for implementation of various components under PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has issued the guidelines for implementing rooftop solar under PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana via RESCO and Utility-Led Aggregation models, enabling cost-effective installations for residential consumers.
• A Rs. 100 crore Payment Security Mechanism fund is allocated to support RESCO investments, supplementing the national portal-based capex mode.
