The Government of Manipur on December 10, 2025, issued a notification regarding list of holidays for calendar year 2025.
The Governor of Manipur has declared the days listed in Annexure-I as "GENERAL HOLIDAYS" for the "Calendar Year 2025" for the Government of Manipur.
In addition to these holidays, all government employees are permitted to avail of 2 (two) "RESTRICTED HOLIDAYS" from those specified in Annexure-II, for festivals listed at Sl. Nos. 3, 16, and 830 in Annexure-I, substitutions with holidays of local significance may be made for the Hill Districts and the Manipur Bhawans in Kolkata, Delhi, and Guwahati. Such substitutions require prior government approval by January 31, 2025. These three festivals may instead be designated as Restricted Holidays in the Hill Districts and the Manipur Bhawans.
Furthermore, under the powers granted by the explanation to Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Act XXVI of 1881), the Governor of Manipur has declared the days listed in Annexure-III as "PUBLIC HOLIDAYS" for the year 2025 in the state of Manipur.
