Industry Specific ComplianceThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on January 10, 2025, issued a circular regarding initiatives to promote Skill Education in schools affiliated with CBSE.

The following has been stated: -

•CBSE is promoting skill education in alignment with NEP 2020 by introducing skill modules for classes VI-XII and offering 22 skill subjects for classes IX-X and 43 for XI-XII. 

•Schools can implement these modules without additional permissions or fees, and assessments are school-based. 

•CBSE is also working on implementing the National Credit Framework (NCrF) and appointing District Skill Coordinators to support schools. 

•Capacity-building programs for teachers, along with awareness programs for principals, are regularly conducted. Additionally, CBSE organizes skill-related events and provides resources like a 'Compendium of Careers and Education Pathways' for students.
