The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on January 16, 2025, issued a notification to amend Notification No. 19/2019-Customs, dated July 06, 2019, related to the exemption on defense equipment and their parts from Basic Customs Duty for 5 years.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In the said notification, in the Table, against Sl. No. 21, in column (3), for item (II), the following shall be substituted namely:
“(II) Systems, sub-systems, equipment, parts, sub-parts, tools, test equipment, software meant for Long Range Surface to Air Missile System (LRSAM)”
This notification shall come into force with immediate effect
