The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on January 16, 2025, issued a notification regarding the UTGST Rate Schedule.
The Central Government, on being satisfied that it is necessary in the public interest to do, on the recommendation of the Council, hereby makes amendments in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue) No. 8/2018-Union Territory Tax (Rate), dated January 25, 2018.
The following has been stated-
In the said notification, in the TABLE, against S. No. 4, in column (4), for the entry “6%”, the entry “9%” shall be substituted.
This notification shall come into force with immediate effect.
