The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) on January 15, 2025, notified regarding the extension of the timeline for registration of Unregistered Entities providing M2M Services and/or WLAN/WPAN connectivity for M2M Services.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It has extended the timeline for registration of entities currently providing M2M Services and/or WPAN/WLAN Connectivity for M2M Services up to March 31, 2025.
• It further states that Authorized Telecom Licensee(s) are directed to suspend the services of telecom resources (such as M2M SIMs) for M2M Services/Connectivity, issued to the unregistered entities post March 31, 2025. The services shall be resumed after the unregistered entities submit the Registration Certificate.
