The Department of Industrial Training and Employment (DITE), Karnataka on January 16, 2025, issued the notification regarding the maximum apprentice engaging quota for the state of Karnataka.
The following has been stated namely: -
• The maximum apprentice engaging quota for the state of Karnataka on the Apprenticeship Portal has been appropriately updated as per approval from Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
• The annual engaging limit for apprentices in Karnataka shall be 15% of the total manpower strength.
• The portal will no longer allow the creation of new contracts exceeding this 15% limit. Please note that existing contracts will not be affected, but establishments will not be able to create new contracts beyond the specified limit.
