The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW) on January 19, 2025, issued a notification to ensure food safety at Maha Kumbh 2025 through the deployment of mobile labs, regular inspections, and awareness campaigns.
The following has been stated: -
•FSSAI has implemented extensive measures to ensure food safety at Maha Kumbh 2025, deploying 10 Mobile Food Testing Labs and 56 Food Safety Officers for on-the-spot inspections. Regular checks on food quality at hotels, dhabas, and stalls are being conducted, with samples tested for adulteration.
•Awareness campaigns, including interactive stalls and performances, aim to educate the public on food safety.
•These efforts reflect the government's commitment to safeguarding public health during the event.
