Secretarial ComplianceThe National Stock Exchange (NSE) on January 20, 2025, issued a circular regarding the Direct Payout of Securities to the Client Demat Account.

The following has been stated: -

•The NSE, BSE, and NCL circulars outline guidelines for a direct payout of securities to client demat accounts. If a verified primary demat account is unavailable, the payout will be made to the clearing member pool account. 

•Clients dealing exclusively in index derivatives with cash-only margins may not need a Demat account for equity derivatives. 

•Trading members must ensure these clients do not trade in products requiring physical delivery and pay margins in cash.
