Industry Specific ComplianceThe Prohibition & Excise Department, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh on January 21, 2025, notified regarding the reserved shops for allotment to 'Geeta Kulalu'.

The following has been stated namely: -

• It states that there shall be no shops reserved for Geeta Kulalu in the Scheduled areas of any district.

• It states that 10% of shops over and above the open category shops already notified in each district shall be reserved subject to a maximum of 335 shops for Geeta Kulalu.

• It states that the applicants for reserved shops shall be required to submit caste and nativity certificates along with the non-refundable application fees of Rs. 2,00,000/-.

• It states that to ensure equitable benefit distribution, each member of Geeta Kulalu is allowed only one Shop License, and if selected for multiple Shops, they shall choose one, with the others reallocated to reserve applicants.

• It further states that the license period for the reserved shops shall come to an end by September 30, 2026.
