The Government of Odisha on December 26, 2024, issued Guidelines for Secretariat Entry Pass for Media Personnel.
The Government has introduced revised "Guidelines for Issue of Secretariat Admission Pass" for Press and Media representatives, replacing the 2013 notification. Applicable to accredited journalists, editors, reporters, photojournalists, and cameramen from empanelled media, the process involves online applications via the e-Pravesh portal. Applicants must upload identity proofs, authorization letters, and residence details. Accreditation and security clearance by the Directorate of Intelligence are mandatory. The issuance is subject to the permissible pass limit per media house, with exceptions considered on special grounds. These measures aim to streamline and enhance the security of secretariat access for media personnel.
