The Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) on January 22, 2025, issued directions for installing the real-time electronic display board for PM10 and PM2.5 display at Construction sites/projects to make the information available to the general public and provide electric heaters to construction workers at the site.
The following has been stated: -
•Delhi has directed large construction sites, measures to mitigate air pollution, the following steps are required:
o Install a Large Real-Time Electronic Display Board (10ft x 7ft) at the construction site, showing details such as plot area, dust control measures, and air quality data, by the provided proforma.
o Provide electrical heaters to construction workers and security personnel to prevent open biomass/MSW burning during winter.
o A report on the actions taken should be submitted within 10 days.
