The Government of Meghalaya on January 03, 2025, issued the Draft Code on Industrial Relations Meghalaya Rules, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 1A lays down various definitions of the terms like electronically and State Government.
•Rule 2 specifies a Memorandum of Settlement.
•Rule 3 specifies the Constitution of the Works Committee.
•Rule 4 specifies the Manner of choosing members from the employers and the workers for the Grievance Redressal Committee under sub-section (2) of Section 4.
Any objections and suggestions can be submitted within forty-five (45) days from January 03, 2025.
