The National Stock Exchange, (NSE), on January 22, 2025, issued FAQs – T+0 settlement.
The T+0 settlement mechanism simplifies clearing and settlement by providing same-day transaction completion for eligible securities, detailed in the file NCL_APPLICABLE_SYMBOL_DDMMYYYY.csv with a settlement flag as '0'. The settlement type is ‘5,’ with market types 55 (NSDL) and 33 (CDSL). Monthly settlement calendars, including T+0 details, are issued by NCL and accessible through STC reports and depositories. All investors can participate in the T+0 settlement, but trades cannot be executed with the ‘INST’ code as OTR functionality is unavailable. Custodians can apply for a ‘Family Account CP Code’ to facilitate T+0 settlements for family accounts, maintaining details of family constituents.
Updated Frequently asked Questions (FAQ’s) regarding T+0 settlement are enclosed as Annexure.
