The Department of Forest, Himachal Pradesh on January 17, 2025, issued the amendment to order No. FFE-B-A(3)-5/2020 regarding the Himachal Pradesh Forest Produce Transit (Land Routes) Amendment Rules, 2023.
The following has been amended namely: -
• After sr. No.3, following species of trees shall be added, namely: -
“Sr. No. Name of Species - Botanical name of Species
4. Japanese Toot - Broussonetia papyrifera
5. Leuceania - Leuceania Leucocephala”
• For the note mentioned below third proviso, the following shall be substituted, namely: -
“The felling of trees for sale in respect of other species shall be permitted by the Chief Conservator of Forests/Conservator of Forests(T), provided that the process of demarcation/marking of trees under 10 year felling programme is completed upto 31.01. 2025.”
