The Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd., (MCX), on January 23, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Advisory for Secure IT environment to safeguard from Cyber Attacks.
In light of recent cyber incidents, SEBI has issued Circular mandating adherence to the Cyber Security & Cyber Resilience Framework (CSCRF) for regulated entities. Members are urged to safeguard critical assets and comply with IT hygiene measures, including using strong passwords, enabling MFA, updating software, backing up data, employing firewalls, monitoring systems, and educating teams on cybersecurity. Additional measures include restricting administrative access, implementing role-based access, hardening endpoints, securing Wi-Fi networks, and maintaining robust BCP/DR plans. Vigilance and compliance are imperative for cyber resilience.
