The Department of Transport, Himachal Pradesh on January 21, 2025, issued the Draft Himachal Pradesh Transport Services of the State Transport Undertaking Scheme, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that the private operators may operate with the State Transport Undertaking on inter-district routes under Chapter V of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, while all inter-state routes are exclusively reserved for the Himachal Road Transport Corporation and other State Road Transport Undertakings as per agreements under Section 88(5) of the Act.
• It states the Conditions of Operation of Services.
• It further states the Himachal Pradesh Road Transport Services of State Transport Undertaking 2006 is repealed.
• Any objections or suggestions may be sent by February 20, 2025, to the Additional Chief Secretary (Transport) to the Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, Shimla-171002.
