The Government of Jharkhand on January 10, 2025, issued Aadhaar-Based Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainyan Samman Yojana.
The mandated the use of Aadhaar for the effective implementation of the Jharkhand Mukhyamantri Mainyan Samman Yojana, which provides financial assistance of ₹2,500 per month to eligible females aged 18 to 50 years. Beneficiaries are required to furnish Aadhaar details or undergo Aadhaar authentication. Those without Aadhaar must enroll before registering for the scheme.
Until Aadhaar is assigned, beneficiaries can avail of the benefits by providing an Aadhaar Enrollment ID slip along with any one of the approved documents, such as a Voter ID, PAN, Ration Card, Passport, or other government-approved identity proofs. To ensure accessibility, the Department will arrange Aadhaar enrollment centers in areas lacking such facilities and conduct publicity campaigns to inform beneficiaries of the requirements.
In cases of failed Aadhaar authentication due to poor biometrics, alternative methods such as iris scans, face authentication, or One-Time Passwords (OTP) will be employed. If these are unavailable, physical Aadhaar letters verified via QR codes will suffice. An exception handling mechanism is also in place to ensure no eligible beneficiary is deprived of benefits.
This scheme replaces the earlier Mukhyamantri Bahan Beti Mai Kui Swavlamban Protsahan Yojana, and the previous notification (No. 441, dated 04.07.2024) is canceled. The new notification takes effect immediately upon its publication in the Official Gazette.
