Secretarial ComplianceThe National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) on January 23, 2025, issued the amendments to Business Rules and Bye-Laws of NSDL w.r.t Transmission of Securities in Joint demat accounts and w.r.t Nomination.

The following has been stated namely: -

• Amendment to NSDL Business Rules – Rule 4.5.4, Rule 12.6, and Form 9 about “Transmission of Securities in joint demat accounts – Removal of restriction of one year for deletion of the name”.

• Amendment to Bye-Laws of NSDL - Bye Law 9.11 and Form 9 of NSDL Business Rule w.r.t Nomination.

• It states that participants shall continue to accept the existing Form 9 (Account Opening forms) for opening new accounts until the stocks last.
