The Government of Madhya Pradesh on January 01, 2025, issued the draft of the amendment in the Madhya Pradesh Agricultural Warehouse Rules, 1961.
The following amendments have been stated:
• In rule 4, for sub-rule (4), the following sub-rule shall be substituted, namely:-
"(4) The renewal of the licence shall be for a period up to 31st December, 2025. The renewal fee shall be Rs. 0.50 (fifty paise) per metric tonne for this period.".
• For rule 5, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-
"5. Period and format of licence. -The licence shall be in Form-II and its validity shall be upto 31st December, 2025.".
• For rule 6, the following rule shall be substituted, namely:-
“6 Licence fee. For issuing licence to a warehouseman upto 31st December, 2025, a charge of Rs. 0.50 (fifty paise) per metric tonne shall be levied and renewal of licence shall be done after receipt of application along with renewal fee of Rs. 0.50 (fifty paise) per metric tonne.".
All persons likely to be affected thereby and notice is hereby given that the said draft of amendment shall be taken into consideration on the expiry of fifteen days from the date of publication of this notice in the Madhya Pradesh Gazette.
Any objection or suggestion which may be received at the Commissioner, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Directorate, Vindhyachal Bhawan, Bhopal from any person in respect of the said draft of amendment on or before the expiry of the period specified above, shall be considered by the State Government.
