The Government of Haryana on January 22, 2025, issued a notification regarding the General Election to Legislative Assembly of NCT of Delhi.
To facilitate voters working in Haryana but enrolled as voters in the NCT of Delhi, the Governor of Haryana, exercising powers under Section 28 of the Punjab Shops and Commercial Establishments Act, 1958, has declared February 05, 2025 (Wednesday) as a paid holiday.
This holiday is applicable only to employees in Shops and Commercial Establishments within Haryana's jurisdiction who are registered voters in Delhi, enabling them to cast their votes.
