The Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN) on January 24, 2025, issued an advisory on the Introduction of the E-Way Bill (EWB) for Gold in Kerala State.
The following has been stated: -
•A new option for generating E-Way Bills (EWB) for gold under Chapter 71, excluding Imitation Jewellery (HSN 7117), has been introduced in Kerala, effective January 20, 2025.
•This feature is for intrastate movement of such goods within Kerala. EWB for Imitation Jewellery can still be generated using the usual option. For assistance, taxpayers can contact the GST Helpdesk or refer to the user guide on the EWB portal.
