The Government of Manipur on January 14, 2025, issued Manipur Inner Line Permit Guidelines (Amendment), 2024 further to amend the existing Manipur Inner Line Permit Guidelines, 2019.
The following has been stated:-
•The new provisions introduce two types of Working ILP Permits: Half Yearly (180 days) and Annual (360 days), with specific conditions on extensions and reapplication. The Deputy Commissioners or authorized agencies will issue Working ILPs, verifying sponsors' details before approval.
•Renewal of permits is limited to two terms, with a possible 15-day grace period for medical emergencies. Temporary, Regular, and Annual Working ILP holders must exit Manipur to reapply, with a minimum gap of one day.
•Applications for permits must be submitted at least 7 days before the expiry date.
They shall come into effect from January 14, 2025.
