The Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO) on January 24, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Not of Standard Quality (NSQ) drugs for December 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•The CDSCO issues a monthly alert for Not of Standard Quality (NSQ) drugs, highlighting those that fail to meet quality standards as defined by the Drugs & Cosmetics Act, of 1940.
•Drug samples are collected from sales and distribution points for analysis, and the NSQ list is published on the CDSCO portal.
•This initiative aims to inform stakeholders about identified NSQ batches in the market.
