Secretarial ComplianceThe Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd., (MCX), on January 27, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Revised List of Approved Securities, Approved Commodities and Approved Banks.

Revised its approved list of securities, commodities, and banks, effective February 1, 2025, as per the Rules, Bye-Laws, and Regulations. The updated lists are provided in annexures, covering approved securities (equity shares, ETFs, mutual funds), government securities (T-Bills, Sovereign Gold Bonds), and approved commodities and banks. Clearing Members must not submit collateral linked to themselves, their groups, or associates. Banks acting as Clearing Members should ensure collaterals like G-Secs and T-Bills are excluded from SLR and trading. Margin benefits on government securities and bonds will cease two days before maturity, and SGBs/T-Bills issued by RBI in the month will be accepted.
