The Government of Himachal Pradesh on January 27, 2025, notified Nagar Panchayat Jawali (Property Taxation) Bye-laws, 2024.
The following has been stated: -
•Rule 2 lays down various definitions of the terms like Municipality and Retable Value.
•Rule 3 specifies the Assessment list what to contain.
•Rule 4 specifies the Form of Assessment list.
•Rule 5 specifies a Procedure where the name of the person primarily liable for property tax cannot be ascertained
These bye-laws shall come into force from January 27, 2025.
