The Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) on January 28, 2025, issued circular regarding Commencement of Natural Gas April 2025 Options Contract with Natural Gas (1,250 MMBTU) Futures as underlying.
The following has been stated: -
•The Natural Gas Options contract for April 23, 2025, will be available for trading from January 29, 2025. Contract specifications, trading parameters, and settlement procedures are outlined in the MCX/TRD/718/2024 circular.
•The option contract expires on April 23, 2025, with devolvement margins applied from April 22, 2025. Option positions will convert into futures positions starting April 24, 2025.
