The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare (MoA&FW) on January 28, 2025, issued the Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) (First Amendment) Order, 2025, to further amend the e Plant Quarantine (Regulation of Import into India) Order, 2003.
This shall come into force from January 29, 2025.
The Schedule IV has been amended: -
• Against S.No. 49, in column (2) relating to entries ‘Betula spp. (Birch)’ and in column (3) relating to entries ‘Wood with/without bark’, the new entries shall be inserted after the existing entries in columns 4, 5 & 6.
• Against S.No. 184, in column (2) relating to entries ‘Juglans spp. (Walnut)’ and in column (3) relating to entries ‘Wood with/without bark’, the new entries shall be inserted after the existing entries in columns 4, 5 & 6.
• Against S.No. 261, in column (2) relating to entries ‘Prunus spp. (Cherry)’ and in column (3) relating to entries ‘Wood with/without bark’, the new entries shall be inserted after the existing entries in columns 4, 5 & 6.
