The Ministry of Labour and Employment (MoL&E) on January 29, 2025, notified regarding the declaration of the Industry engaged in the India Government Mints, Kolkata, Noida, Mumbai and Hyderabad as a Public Utility Service.
It is stated that the services of the industry engaged in the following industrial undertakings under the Ministry of Finance, namely, the –
• India Government Mints, Kolkata, Noida, Mumbai and Hyderabad
• India Security Press, Nashik
• Security Printing Press, Hyderabad
• Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad
• Services in the Bank Note Press, Dewas; and
• Currency Note Press, Nashik Road,
to be a public utility service for a further six months with effect from January 30, 2025.
