The Government of Kerala on January 29, 2025, notified regarding the One-time settlement plan.

It is stated that organizations registered under the Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Moral Societies Registration Act, 1955, if they have defaulted in filing their annual returns, can file their returns at a reduced penalty under the one-time settlement scheme. The scheme aims to reduce the penalty for filing returns after the stipulated deadline. Many organizations, including arts and sports clubs, residence associations, support groups, etc., can benefit from the scheme. 

The fine for a delay of one year is Rs 200, for a delay of more than one year but less than two years, Rs 500 for each year, for a delay of more than two years but less than five years, Rs 750 for each year, and for delay of more than five years but less than five years, the fine for each year of delay is Rs 1000. The delayed returns can be filed till March 31. Organizations that have defaulted in filing annual returns can get more information by contacting their registered office or the concerned government department.
