The Ministry of Railways (MoR) on January 28, 2025, issued the Kolkata Metro Railway General (First Amendment) Rules, 2025, to further amend the Kolkata Metro Railway General Rules, 2019.
This shall come into force on January 29, 2025.
The following has been stated namely: -
• It states that in rule 105, which states the Conditions for taking ‘off’ Home Signal, after sub-rule 3, a new proviso shall be inserted:
“Provided that a terminal block station where a sliding friction buffer stop of approved design has been provided for the line on which the train is to be received, such friction buffer stop shall be deemed to be efficient substitute for the adequate distance, with appropriate speed restriction under approved special instructions.”.
