Secretarial ComplianceThe National Securities Depository Limited (NSDL) on January 30, 2025, issued a clarification on the Handling of Clients’ Securities by Trading Members (TM) / Clearing Members (CM) on account of the Live Trading session scheduled by NSE and BSE on February 01, 2025, due to “Presentation of the Union Budget.

The following has been stated: -

•Participants are reminded of NSDL and SEBI guidelines regarding the handling of client's securities, particularly concerning the Client Unpaid Securities Pledgee Account (CUSPA). For the live trading session on February 01, 2025, TMs/CMs must execute unilateral closure instructions and release the pledge within five trading days of the payout. 

•February 01, 2025, will be the 5th trading day for securities pledged on January 24, 2025, and pay-out on January 27, 2025. TMs/CMs cannot execute such instructions on February 03 and 04, 2025.
