The Ministry of Finance (MoF) on January 31, 2025, issued a corrigendum regarding an older notification No. 06/2025- Union Territory Tax (Rate), dated January 16, 2025, related to the revision of Insurance Services Description under Motor Vehicles Accident Fund.
The following has been stated: -
•On page 20, column (3), should be revised to read: "Insurance services provided by the Motor Vehicles Accident Fund, as constituted under section 164B of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, against contributions by insurers from premiums collected for third-party motor vehicle insurance."
•This change clarifies the Fund's role in providing insurance services based on insurer contributions.
