The National Stock Exchange, (NSE), on January 31, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Quantity Freeze Limits for Indices.
The revised quantity freeze limits for derivatives contracts on indices, effective February 01, 2025, as per F&O consolidated circular NSE/FAOP/61814 dated April 29, 2024. The updated limits are:
BANKNIFTY – 900
NIFTY – 1800
FINNIFTY – 1800
MIDCPNIFTY – 2800
NIFTYNXT50 – 600
Before trading, members must update their trading applications with the latest contract.gz and NSE_FO_contract_ddmmyyyy.csv.gz files. These files are available on NSE’s Extranet server and official website. Further details can be accessed at NSE Derivatives Contract Information.
