The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) on January 28, 2025, issued a notification regarding the Discontinuation of RuPay BIN Management File Formats 81 & 82.
RuPay has implemented changes in BIN Management files 91 & 92 to enhance reconciliation for member banks. As all necessary information is now included in these files, formats 81 & 82 have become redundant and will be discontinued from February 20, 2025, to reduce system load. Member banks are advised to refer to RuPay RGCS Technical Specification v1.38 or above for further details and inform relevant stakeholders accordingly.
